20 Random(not so deep) thoughts on my military experience.
1. The farther you get away from it the more fondly you remember it.
2. Those boots really are the most comfortable shoes you may ever have.
3. Chicks really do dig a man in uniform.
4. Holidays,especially Christmas suck when you are on duty.I spent one in a missile launch facility.
5. Man I was sooo young and they gave me a M-16 to carry.
5. Eventually I could not sleep without the M-16.
6. Proud to wear the Stars and Stripes,but in other countries sometimes it felt like a target.
7. Father-In Law was a Navy pilot. Possible coolest job ever.
8. The guys you meet and hang with you just never forget.
9. You want diversity you get diversity.
10. I sold my Corvette for how much?
11. I grew up in about 5 seconds.
12. Getting spit at because you are in uniform.Eye opening.
13. Some people are born to serve and God Bless.
14. You really want to tell those baby faced kids you see in uniform that they can Kick Ass.
15. No matter who I served with,I always thought their jobs were really important.
16. The Marines Toys for Tot thing we do every year is just COOL.
17. Beer was really cheap and man I was good at poker.
18. I will never forget the look on my mom's face the first time she saw me in Full Dress Uniform.
19. I should have kept more stuff and pics for my kids to see.
20. Maybe it would be neat to hook up with some of the old guys.
